The Toronto Sun’s Jenny Yuen stopped by the first day of class at Techsdale’s pilot program. The group looked at platformer games in order to deconstruct them: what are the different parts of a game? What settings do you normally see? What settings would you like to see? It was a great day, filled with the incisive and clever criticism from our 14 students. One student in particular, Deandre, spoke with the paper about his dream of achieving a career in gaming.
Andray spoke with Metro News about Techsdale’s vision and its upcoming pilot program, addressing the boundless creativity of Rexdale’s youth and the need to bring greater diversity to the games industry.
Andray and Sam dropped by the CBC studios this morning for an interview on CBC’s Metro Morning. Andray spoke about Techsdale’s vision of creating amazing opportunities for youth in Rexdale, and contributing to the growth of the community and the diversification of the tech sector.
